This is the most important step, because in more than 90 percent of cases, a bad credit score is the result of erroneous entries in the report. As a credit repair business you will help your client get his credit reports and know how to go about interpreting them.

Step 2
Examine the credit report diligently for mistakes. Be on the lookout for unpaid loans your client believes may not be his. This should be a red flag alerting you to possible identity theft.  The thief may try to avoid raising suspicion by taking out loans in small to moderate amounts. While the thieves make money, the victim is left with  negative entries and a bad credit score.

Step 3
Mail the credit bureaus and dispute the errors you have found. In the case that you have detected possible identity theft, be sure to report it to the police; doing so will help absolve your client, to a degree, from responsibility.

Your business will be profitable in proportion to your success in dealing with the credit bureaus on behalf of your client. Most clients come to a credit repair business because they feel intimidated by the process of fixing their credit. And so if you want to have lots of clients seeking your services your client’s interest must invariably become first. Failure to do so is likely to result in the failure of your business.

Step 4
Locate a state-of-the-art credit repair software so you can use your time more effectively. By improving your efficiency, you will free up time to help even more people. However, do not rely on your software alone; you must “marry” your software speed and efficiency, with the intelligent judgment that can only come from a human being.

Step 5
Promote your credit repair business enthusiastically both on and offline. Offer freebies to potential clients, as a means of generating interest in your business - such as counseling, consultations, free credit report assessment, high quality information, and the like. Just always make sure you put your clients interest first. If you will do that, will find that making money in your credit repair business is not all that difficult.

Always start with someone close - relatives or friends - and do an exceptional job! Your satisfied clients will recommend you to others, bringing you floods of clients and endless leads. To get your business rolling right off the bat offer your services for a discounted price for a limited period; and be sure to do your very best job, and you will be rewarded with more referrals.

Some important points: The best way to make money is by ensuring that your client is happy. The rest will simply fall into place. Finally, charge affordable fees, make promises you’re not able to keep, or stray outside of what is legal, regardless of how tempting it may seem.
