Choosing whether you want blinds for your windows or curtains can be a difficult decision. There are, of course, pluses and minuses to both window treatments, so in the end it is your personal preference that should be the ultimate factor as to which one will work the best with your home’s interior. It is opinion of many that curtains are traditional and most often choice. It’s because they are offering privacy while providing the decorative look at the same time. Additionally, since curtains are available in virtually any color and in most any style you can imagine, you are certain to find curtains for every last window in every last room.

The flexibility and style are big advantages to drapes, but we should not forget about some flaws they have too. Curtains offer little or no privacy when compared to blinds. We have to invest a lot of time in simple maintenance when dealing with curtain washing and drying. The things is, we have to do it. If we do not take them down and clean them, they will lose their looks rather quickly.

We could also decide to go with blinds as our window treatment. You can adjust the shutters the way it suits you best and allow certain amount of light and privacy. There are not so many different styels of blinds, when compared to curtains, but still you have a lot of choices when it comes to color and design. But blinds give you ability to drop them or draw them as well as adjust the slat angle and allow as much wind and light as you want. You won’t have to remove the blinds from the windows in order to clean them.
