Waaaay back in 2006, even 2007, you could throw up almost any website populated with some Adsense ads and not much content and make a killing; but not any more.

Google now has eyes in the back of its multi-tiered head, and they seem to be peering into every corner of every website, looking for fatal flaws that allow Google to scream out “Gotcha!” … followed by that sickening thud as your website drops out of the rankings, or your previous 10 cent PPC bids zoom overnight into the $10 range.

Can you say, “Bye-Bye Internet Wild West Days?”

Yes, that was a good time for everyone. The web was easy, the money could be had with little effort, and you didn’t even have to be polite about it.

But as they say, “There’s a new sheriff in Town,” and Google 2.0 is not exactly the friendly, forgiving sort.

So what’s a newbie but serious marketer to do?

Here are a few thoughts to help you succeed:

(1) Invest in ongoing training in internet profit techniques with a reputable company like Maverick Money Makers Club. Headed by self-made internet millionaire Mack Michaels, the club consistently exceeds expectations with a dozen or more new hours of training video each month.

Mack is an exceptional communicator, and his videos are models of clarity and usefulness. And unlike many fly-by-night outfits that just throw a bunch of generic videos in a membership site and call it quits, he personally records his own super-detailed videos, some of which run more than an hour.

His full-time support staff is always just an email away, and they have been very responsive to questions and problems. Because the internet (Google) shifts paradigms every 12-18 months, any marketer who does NOT invest in ongoing training will soon be outdated … and out of income.

Don’t let it happen to you. Plan for quality training — and a group like Maverick Money Makers is a great place to start.

(2) Invest in speedy website power-building tools like those offered by Niche Dominator.

Cam Forbes is a genius at designing slick-looking websites that mimic blogs, but which are easier and more flexible to work with in a variety of niches. He has also provided built-in monetization for those just starting out, so it is much easier to capture niche traffic, but with high quality rather than cheap or shoddy-looking websites.

Cam thinks you should be able to spend your time researching niches and keywords and actually making money, rather than tedious hours building your websites (before you even know if they will succeed.)

His website templates have allowed me to easily capture Google Top 10 rankings in less than a day several times. Needless to say, “Google loves his website templates.” You will, too.

(3) My grandfather was a carpenter, and he always insisted on great quality tools. If you plan to run a true BUSINESS on the internet .. rather than a hobby, you need to invest in quality tools as well, but tools that are efficient in reducing your workload, as well as in creating income.

Since much of internet business revolves around keywords, you should consider them the lifeblood of your business. And while there are many keyword tools out there, I consider Micro Niche Finder THE one I would not want to do without.

James Jones’ Micro Niche Finder rolls many functions of multiple other separate tools into one simple interface that is not only easy, but actually fun to use.

If you need to find keywords for any project, including LSI keywords to make Google happy, you simply can’t find a better tool at any price … and what a surprise, Micro Niche Finder costs less than most other tools, runs on your own PC, and James provides exceptional ongoing support with automatic updates each time you crank it up.

Surviving on the internet requires planning for success, and the proper tools. Don’t be distracted by the latest fad; choose quality tools from proven companies backed by individuals with integrity, and you can’t go wrong.
